Baja California Real Estate and Consulting was created to satisfy the growing needs of the many foreigners that are re-locating into Baja California. We specialize in helping people find real estate in Baja, re-locate to the area as well as assist in small to medium business start-ups

My name is James Glover and I’m the principal owner of Baja California Real Estate and Consulting. Having lived and worked here in Baja for over 18 years I have put together a team of Mexican and American professionals that also have many years experienced in Baja California. We know the culture, geography, language, laws, legal processes, and much more. “If we don’t have the answer we probably know someone that does."

We realize that there are many unknowns to those re-locating or starting businesses here in Baja California and we try and take the surprises out of the process. While many laws and legal processes are similar to the North America and other countries there are many things that differ greatly. It is our job to help you to find the property you are looking for and in many cases educate you in starting-up or re-locating a business here in Baja California. We either already know or investigate most areas and developments in those areas to be sure they are a safe investment before we recommend our clients to even look at them. Unfortunately due to many different factors a lot of developments in Baja that are started are either very slowly or never finished. We assist people in knowing that what they are putting their money into is actually a good idea. Because we have contacts all over Baja California we feel good in knowing the history of the areas, the developments and or the people selling the properties, commercial buildings, homes and condos in the area of interest to you.

While it is not for everyone there are many lands that can be purchased cheaply even before they have title. This is definitely at a higher risk than purchasing land with an insurable title. This is also how you purchase land at a substantial discount but beware the risk could be a total loss. This is especially the case if not done right and can be still a long time before your title may be granted. We recommend most people avoid the hassle and purchase lands and homes that have clear title that can be insured. However if are interested in taking that risk we can help you

We don’t know everything because the first and foremost is there is always more to learn. We believe because of our open minded attitude and willingness to learn that we do know a great deal and have much to offer. One of the most frustrating comments made by people is that you didn’t ask. The problem being of course that you didn’t know to ask. We try very hard to be sure to ask and help think for our clients to find out the real truth concerning anything that may affect our client’s purchases or projects.

While we cannot always know everything there is to know we have a no bull policy at Baja California Real Estate and Consulting. We either will get you the answer or we may “prefer to refer” you to someone else if we feel we cannot be of assistance.

We help investors find developable tracts and can assist in the sub-dividing the land into the saleable parcels with the proper titles and tax lot numbers. Many times there are people that wish to move on to another paradise and or are ready to retire from whatever business they may have here. We can assist you in finding out the best way to value, purchase and transfer the business so that you can be better assured that it has been done properly.

In many case we can handle the purchase for you or we may refer you to a specific Broker or Developer depending on our relationship with them and the location of the property. While we have people in our network covering much of the Baja California we cannot possibly properly cover all the areas. We do specialize in the Los Cabos area and can also help put you in touch with other professionals from all over the states of Baja Sur and Baja (Norte).

Also many of the properties available for purchase are not listed on the MLS (multiple listing services) and therefore if that is all you look at, in many areas you are looking at less than 30% of what is available. We try hard to locate all properties whether listed or not to help our clients find the best opportunities. It is our feeling whether you are buying a home or an investment property you make your money when you purchase it. If you purchase smart it will always be a good buy.

Because of the fast growth in all areas of Baja California (Baja Sur being the second fastest growing state in Mexico) there are many new business opportunities available. We help create a plan of action and then provide you with recommendations and referrals as well as inside information on how to proceed with your project.
We don’t necessarily do your job for you unless you want us to. We are really here to guide you and help you not waste your time and money by helping you burn the learning curve more quickly and avoid going down the wrong road.

If after the first hour you do not believe our assistance to be of value you may decide not to pay and we will part our ways with no hard feelings and at no costs to you.
