Da Giorgio’s get a face-lift. Nine months after acquiring a new chef
the Da Giorgio’s restaurant overlooking the Monuments surf break and
the perfect view of the arch is getting a face-lift.

According to one of the employees they
are creating an enclosed dinning area in the entrance area with an office
on the second floor (lucky management). They will then be able to accommodate
people even when it’s raining as well as have an air-conditioned eating
area for those who wish to escape the heat.
The
old (hardly) section with all of the pools and the great sunset location
with the view of the arch will remain the same. There is other building
going on the point as well. With new houses encroaching the restaurant
to the east.

They
(yet to be determined) are also surveying for a new restaurant and Hotel,
to the west towards Cabo. There are the lines painted by the surveyors
over the rocks but they are there in fact there is a surveyor working
in the right side of the photo.
Da Giorgio's has been a Cabo landmark dining
establishment for many years. They are famous for their sunset dining
around the hillside pools. Da Giorgio's boast's
the best view of the Arch in all of Cabo. Check out the driveway
at the original location. It is said that the owner ordered cases of
painted ceramic for the interior. When it arrived in Cabo it was cartons
of shards. Not wanting to waste the product the workers were instructed
to lay the pieces in the long cement drive. Today this decorative look
can be found in the Southwestern look throughout Baja and the SW US.
The fare is obviously Italian and per person
should run from $25-$45 per person.
