Pedregal of Cabo San Lucas, is the original luxury community located at Land’s End in Baja California Sur, Mexico.

Baja California with its mountain ranges, tropical seas, jagged and beautiful rock formations, dramatic coastlines, desert (and its hearty, lovely flora), and year-round climate make for a very unique living experience and this development embraces it all.

The Vision

It was created by Manuel Diaz Rivera in 1974 when he saw the future attraction that this beautiful cape was to have. He purchased 360 acres of land just north of the actual tip of the Baja Peninsula and began designing an infrastructure of streets, water system and utilities.

Manuel Diaz Rivera’s vision was to create a well planned quality development. Now after more than 30 years in the making, the Diaz Rivera family, has witnessed the building of nearly three hundred homes within the Pedregal, ranging in size from 3,000 square feet to over 20,000 square feet.

Inhabitants of the Pedregal enjoy idle hours watching the migration of blue whales off the Pacific coast, sport fishing, surfing, sailing, scuba diving, playing golf and tennis, and taking long quiet walks along miles of seashore. The easy pace of life is refreshing, calming, and uplifting to the spirit and while Cabo de San Lucas is now a resort tourist destination for many, Pedregal has become a way of life.

Philosophy

Today three generations of Diaz Riveras call the Pedregal their home and are dedicated to being involved in all aspects of the community. They encourage individuals the freedom to create unique properties and take full advantage of the climate and natural wonders of the Baja.

Beautiful gardens and elaborate stone-work add to the elegance of many properties. You will not be surprised that several Pedregal homes have been featured in major publications.

The Diaz Riveras explain that, “In the Pedregal, we provide residents with access to the highest standards of construction. So, residents can build structures that are eco-friendly, cohesive with our natural surroundings, and have the lowest amount of visual impact."

To encourage protection of the quality and investment made in Pedregal, we have a homeowner’s association. This association includes an architectural committee which approves all construction plans and protects the views from adjacent lots.”

The Future

The Diaz Riveras are not only continuing the Pedregal development but have also began a new Pedregal located in the capital city of La Paz about 2 hours north of Cabo San Lucas on the Sea of Cortez.

Pedregal de la Paz

The demand for Pedregal de Cabo San Lucas has consistently risen over the past 3 decades, so in order to capitalize on the community’s high regard in the Los Cabos market, the Diaz family decided to develop another Pedregal in La Paz.

According the Diaz Rivera family “the opportunity to mimic the same lifestyle and quality of Pedregal presented itself in La Paz.” The new site in La Paz is located only minutes from the Malecón and downtown. Lots have been allocated and are now in the beginning stages of being sold.

Coldwell Banker Real Estate

The Rivera’s in their futuristic thinking have also acquired the Coldwell Banker franchise for all of Baja Sur (see map) through which they are leveraging over 30 years of real estate experience and bringing to bear their local  acumen and relationship network on the general real estate market.
