Tennis Club at Villas de Oro at Palmilla

Villas de Oro which is a planned and gated community located within the Palmilla, “One and Only”, has already opened it’s new tennis courts in it’s new Pamilla Tennis Club. With this new addition by Villas de Oro at the Palmilla, it promises to be one of the best tennis resorts in Baja if not all of Mexico.

The Palmilla golf resort of Los Cabos already is one of the highest ranking five star golf resorts of Los Cabos and now with the addition of the signature Palmilla Tennis Club, with it’s five new state-of –the-art tennis courts and with the 2700 square foot club house (yet to be finished) it will not only be well known for golf but tennis as well.

For those that are avid tennis players they will really appreciate the Vilals de Oro Tennis Club Plan Plan quality of the tennis courts at the Palmilla Tennis Club. Two of the tennis courts are made of Har-Tru clay, which is the most popular clay court surface in the United States and is used in almost every clay court competition, the other three tennis courts are made of Plexichusion and Plexipave which is a hard-surface that combines a rubberized cushioning system that are easy on the feet and legs while offering a truer playing surface.

The tennis courts, are painted US Open Blue and Green, are designed around a center exhibition/stadium court and include grandstand seating for 220, an event pavilion, landscaped terracing, and event lawn, which are perfect for tournaments, pro-ams, and weddings.

Later in 2008, The Palmilla Tennis Club will include a 2,700 sq. ft. clubhouse, replete with a main lobby, pro shop, men’s and women’s locker rooms, steam rooms, massage and hot tub rooms, snack bar, and lounge with expansive views to the courts and ocean.

Villas de oro Master Plan In addition, the Club will include an additional 3,820 sq. ft. fitness center, plus a lap pool, swimming pool, Jacuzzi, and sun decks.

“The Palmilla Tennis Club at Villas de Oro has no peer in its ability to offer members and guests the quality and variety of tennis surfaces and amenities in all of Baja or Latin America,” said Gerry Burchard, owner and developer, Villas de Oro, upon the opening of the facility this month. “Our goal was to build a facility that offered our members and residents the best possible tennis facilities possible,” said Burchard. “We see this center on par with those one can find at La Quinta or Rancho Santa Fe. It will be a place where members can meet friends, pick-up a game, watch celebrity guests play, work out, or just spend the day swimming and socializing while having a cocktail at the lounge. I want everyone to feel very much at home here.”

Villas de Oro, a 32.5 acre residential community, is built along the Signature Jack Nicklaus Palmilla Golf Course. The guard-gated, private community, upon final build-out, will consist of 200 residential units, including townhomes, tennis villas, custom lots, single-family homes, and casitas.

Currently, Phase III and IV units are available for purchase. They range in size from approximately 2,000 to 3,000 sq. ft., with two- and three-bedroom floor plans offering golf, tennis, and ocean views.

All purchases at Villas de Oro include a full tennis club membership and all residents have the opportunity to become golf members as well. Guests staying at the One and Only Palmilla Hotel are also able to have access to The Tennis Club.
