Information on Tropical Storm Cosme or TD3E 2007
10AM MDT 06/11/06The National Hurricane Center
has begun issuing warnings for Tropical Depression 3E. The storm developed
from a tropical low that was stimulated by a Tropical Wave over the last few
days. The system is currently located near 15.7N 110.7W and current movement
is to 300° at 8kts. Estimated barometric pressure is 1005mb with maximum
sustained winds of 30kts with gusts to 40kts. The system is forecast to
become Tropical Storm Cosme later today as it meanders near cooler water.
The storm is not currently forecast to make landfall or to achieve hurricane
status.
Forecasts call for TD3E to move west and barely
achieve Tropical Storm status before cooler water and more stable air cause
the storm to begin to degenerate.
