Information on Tropical Storm Erick

Tropical Depression Erick is more than 1200 miles SW of Cabo San Lucas and is expected to dissipate in the next 8hrs. No further information will be posted here until historic data is available.

03PM MDT 08/02/07 Erick has been downgraded to a Tropical Depression and is expected to dissipate today. The system is currently location near 13.6N 131.3W and is moving 275° at 11kts. Current central barometric pressure is estimated at 1010Mb and winds are 20kts with gust to 25kts.

Tropical Storm Erick formed from Tropical Depression 8E all on 7/31. Initially located some 1150 miles SW of Cabo San Lucas, the storm will pose no threat to Baja as it moves west into the Pacific.
