Protest blocks Baja’s Highway 1 near Santa Rosalia:

As of 5:30PM on August 6 the blockade had been lifted, following a meeting with a city official and the representatives of the city owrkers waiting as much as 30 weeks to get paid was temporarily resolved.
“Workers of the Municipality of Mulege that are currently engaged in a blockage in Santa Rosalia of Transpeninsular Highway 1. This announced via this means of Community information.
This road blockage has been going on in partial blockage since Tuesday, with protesters opening the highway 10 minutes every two hours. But through social media warn the population that uses Federal Highway 01 starting at 10 pm on August 5 the road closure would not permit anyone to pass with the except ambulances and individuals with sick and little kids.
This after other electronic media began to circulate the news that the blockade was over. Since yesterday it is speculated that the protest ended, but until now (3:42 pm 8/5/15 ) the blockage continues to protest the over 30 weeks of back pay that are owed.by Guerrero Negro, and other sub Mulege delegations of the municipality.
Organized labor advertised through social media that coworkers that do not join in the protest will not be included in the achievements and benefits of this social movement.
They also want to appeal to the understanding of citizenry, and for solidarity in requesting any contribution they can make to this social struggle, like a bottle of water and a “lunch” for protesters who spend there 24 hours a day.”
