The Sea of Cortez is one of the great winter cruising grounds in North America and Bercovich Boat Works has the sailboat and power boat opportunities to get you out on the water for less.

Fall brings the return of our dry storage customers and after mid-October the yard empties out quickly. And much like a good spring cleaning of your house, each year we discover those yard owned vessels and those of owners no longer returning to the Sea of Cortez, and it becomes time to find new owners for these vessels.

We have a broad spectrum of both sail and powerboats available for you to begin your adventure in the Sea of Cortez or find a bargain to transport or sail back to the states. Some of the boats are yard owned vessels and other we are assisting our owner friends in the process of finding new ownership. We have sail and power boats that just about only require your trip to the grocery store and we have other vessels that will require a little maintenance before heading out to Sea, but get you started at an entry level price.

Some of our vessels have some or all of the electronics and navigational equipment to sail away. Other are a blank canvas, awaiting your installation of the most modern and energy-efficient gear.

One of my favorite vessels for sale is a good example of the ready to go boats in the yard. This Contessa has sleek lines and moves very gracefully through the water. The boat is in very good condition and after a wash down and a trip to the store you could be on your way to Sea adventures. This season we have reduced the price of the Contessa from $35K to now just $28,000 USD.

Another great value is Blue Wizard, a Catalina 30. This vessel has been on the hard in our yard for several years and needs a skipper ready to sail. Although a Cat 30 is not a blue water vessel, they are fun to sail, quick, and at 30' long offers comfortable accommodation for two or a young family to explore the wonders of the Sea of Cortez.

We have a number of project boats too. From a Trimaran that needs rigging and outboards to vessels that would require a more significant degree of maintenance and investment. But all are priced accordingly.

The largest boat in our fleet of vessels for sale is the 1972 Custom 72' Wooden Schooner Llatava. The vessel underwent a significant refit just a few years ago, re-powering and installing a new generator along with a good going over of hull maintenance issues. This vessel is semi-famous, having had a movie made about her construction and early years as a traveling sailing commune. Today this ship solid and has all the essentials in place for the new owner to complete the styling for either pleasure or commercial use. The interior is cavernous and ready for your improvements to bring her back to her glory.
