In 2012 both the Cabo San Lucas consular agent office and the US Consulate in Tijuana changed locations. Here is the latest information on both offices and maps on how to find them. Both offices have move to locations outside the city area and both are more difficult to locate.
Know that the office is Los Cabos is an Agent office and does not offer all the services available at the consulate in Tijuana. The office is no longer located in downtown Cabo San Lucas, but about 8 miles toward San Jose del Cabo in the Palmilla Shopping Center.
Be aware that you are not allowed to take ANYTHING other than your paperwork into the US Consulate in Tijuana. Any electronics and even jewelry must be removed before you are allowed into the facility. You are also required in most cases to have a printed barcode form confirming your appointment before you will be allowed into the consulate office. Security in and even for blocks around the consulate is agressive/oppressive.
U.S. Consular Agency Los Cabos, B.C.S.
(This is not a full consulate office)
With the shift in tourist destinations away from downtown to the Tourist Corridor the consulate has been shifted to the up-scale neighborhood in a rather difficult location for most Baja travelers (except those at the luxurious Palmilla) to get too.
